Programs - Information and Assistance

Central Illinois Agency on Aging, Inc. (CIAA) is a vast resource center for seniors and caregivers. The Information and Assistance (I&A) Specialist is able to connect seniors to needed resources by assessing the problems, needs and capabilities of individual callers.

A vast number of people are not aware of the many services, benefits and opportunities that are available in the Peoria area. A simple phone call to CIAA can often virtually change the life of a senior.

Information and assistance services are free of charge and are for seniors from all walks of life, not just low-income people. Most of the direct services have no income guidelines.

We also have a national directory listing area agencies throughout the United States. You may contact CIAA to find help for a family member in another state.

Remember! For help, CALL CIAA FIRST! It’s not necessary to grope through the phone book, because you may not find it; it’s not necessary to ask your friends, because they might tell you wrong! We deal with seniors’ problems every day and are able direct people to appropriate resources and services.

A flyer was developed entitled The Yellow Pages for Seniors. This is a generic list of hundreds of services and benefits. The I&A Specialist can provide information on anything listed. Call today to get a copy of The Yellow Pages for Seniors, 309/674-2071 (or toll-free, 1-877-777-2422).
