Congregate nutrition sites cover all of our
six-county area, and are there for seniors to receive a hot,
well-balanced meal at least once a day. Just as important is the
fact that congregate sites offer seniors time out of the house
or apartment. This is the chance to socialize, talk, play a game
of cards, or find out what is going on in the community. Follow
the link to a listing of all our congregate sites.
The home-delivered meal program is much more
than delivering a hot meal. It’s about care and concern and help
that extend far beyond the mealtime. Some drivers return after
their shift to help “their” seniors. One driver returned to the
home of one of his seniors so he could mow the lawn. Another
replaced a storm window for a woman whose diminished eyesight
made such tasks impossible. The program participants are people
you know. They are your next-door neighbor, your mother, your
father, your aunt, your uncle, your grandmother, your
grandfather, or YOU someday. The home-delivered meal program
keeps seniors living on their own in their own homes. Follow the
link to all of our home-delivered meal programs.
