Services are available for persons age 60
years or older to and from community facilities and resources
for purposes of acquiring/receiving services, to participate in
activities or attend events in order to reduce isolation and
promote successful independent living.
Transportation services are available for the
following types of trips listed below in priority order, with
the highest priority shown first:

indispensable medical appointments;
-
non-indispensable medical appointments;
-
grocery/personal shopping, though no more
often than once per week, per person or family;
-
formal public and charitable needed
services and benefits including adult day care services,
Social Security and Public Aid offices, and English as a
Second Language School;
-
to and from employment;
-
visitation to hospitals, long term care
facilities, and other similar institutions to enable older
spouses, family and friends to visit loved ones receiving care
in such institutions; or to the private residence of the loved
one when she or he is receiving formal in-home programs, such
as Hospice or skilled nursing care;

to and from socialization activities,
including congregate nutrition sites, restaurants and meetings
(excludes transportation to or from political events); and
-
beauty and barber shops
A minimum of 24 hours advanced notice is needed to schedule
an appointment.
There is no charge for services, but voluntary donations are
accepted.
